Role Overview

The Chief Engineer leads the Maintenance Department, maintains work control and productivity, oversees preventive and corrective maintenance, and supports long-term mall asset requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Organize and administer the Maintenance Department while maintaining effective work control and productivity.
• Supervise trouble-report, general maintenance and repair activities to keep buildings, contents and surroundings in first-class condition.
• Arrange mechanical, electrical and civil maintenance work and maintain preventive-maintenance schedules.
• Support service-contract negotiations and maintain test-certificate and license records.
• Coordinate with department heads on equipment performance and contribute to long-term overhaul, rehabilitation, renewal and replacement planning.
• Manage budgeting and financial planning for the Maintenance Department.

Published Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 7–10 years of experience, including at least 4 years in a managerial role in a shopping mall, hotel or hospital environment managing 20 or more engineers and technicians.
• Excellent MS Office and AutoCAD skills.
• Fluent English and Arabic.
