Role Focus
The position covers the normal responsibilities of a Registrar – Obstetrician and Gynecologist, including Document patient history, physical examination, investigations, problems and management plans.; Counsel and prepare admitted patients for surgery.; Complete routine rounds and review admitted patients.; Respond immediately to calls and document complaints, findings, investigations, treatments and consultant decisions..
Responsibilities
- Document patient history, physical examination, investigations, problems and management plans.
- Counsel and prepare admitted patients for surgery.
- Complete routine rounds and review admitted patients.
- Respond immediately to calls and document complaints, findings, investigations, treatments and consultant decisions.
- Prepare discharge notes including diagnosis, management, procedures, medication, follow-up instructions and health teaching.
- See Obstetrics and Gynecology cases in triage/emergency within five minutes of arrival.
- Differentiate between low- and high-risk pregnancy and normal and abnormal labor.
- Complete and interpret partograms and CTG.
- Attend normal and abnormal vaginal delivery and assist in minor and major Obstetrics and Gynecology procedures.
- Follow hospital and department policies and protocols.
- Attend teaching and scientific meetings and conferences.
