- Own day-to-day plant production activities and production targets
- Manage propagation, potting, growing media, irrigation and fertigation activities
- Monitor fertilizer and pesticide use and overall plant health
- Manage greenhouse climate and cooling requirements
- Diagnose plant-production problems early and take corrective action
- Maintain high greenhouse cleanliness, organization and plant hygiene
- Track production records, losses, inventory and performance
- Report production results, problems and corrective actions to the Farm/Nursery Manager
- Supervise field production closely to achieve plant-quality and schedule targets
Published Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Production or a related field
- Proven practical commercial-nursery and/or greenhouse production experience
- Previous professional GCC experience is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of propagation, potting, growing media, irrigation, fertigation, fertilizers, pesticides and plant health
